One on Whiteley

Perfectly positioned in the heart of Melrose Arch Precinct, One on Whiteley is the latest residential development in South Africa’s most exclusive mixed-use precinct. The luxury apartments are built around a communal garden with a swimming pool. The pool is set in a sun terrace that features Bamboo X-treme® Decking. The architects chose bamboo decking as a sustainable and durable material, knowing that the material will age beautifully. The photos were taken a year after installation.

"At One On Whiteley the Bamboo X-treme® product was used externally for decking as well as for BOH bumpers rails in the kitchens and circulation areas. Apart from the fact that MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® is a sustainable product, it was used for its durability and its resistance, weathering to a natural silver colour over time. A sample was left outside for the duration of the project which proved its durability and resistance to the rain and harsh sunlight."
