Commercial centre Canalejas Madrid

Located in the heart of Madrid, next to the emblematic Puerta del Sol, the commercial centre Canalejas is an emblem of the renovated heart of the Spanish capital city in the 21st century. The result of one of the most important urban rehabilitations in Europe, it is a unique project that recovers seven historic buildings of different styles to create a leisure and tourism complex. The main element that guided the renovation was the protection and conservation of all historical elements. For areas requiring extensive remodelling, new materials were applied such as Bamboo UltraDensity^® solid bamboo flooring. It brings a qualitative and warm aspect to the shopping centre while also ensuring a long lifetime, even when faced with heavy traffic, and it is a sustainable material.
