With a sustainable transformation, the Limburg Water Authority wanted to set an example for others in making buildings and their surroundings more sustainable, collecting and reusing rainwater and reducing heat stress. MVD Architecture designed the project and opted for going green and becoming sustainable: the 50-year-old building’s façade was replaced with high-quality insulation, green façade systems and Bamboo X-treme Closed Cladding. In addition to its sustainable properties, this cladding also offers high fire resistance. The renovation significantly improved the building’s energy demand and made the building complex more attractive with a green appearance.
